This was our first Christmas in Tennessee without any family. In the days leading up to the holiday I was very homesick, however Christmas eve and the holiday itself, was so busy I didn't even have time to be homesick. Christmas Eve we hung around the house and made cookies for Santa, of course Liv was convinced Santa wanted extra sprinkles!
Steve read, "The Night Before Christmas," to both girls and Liv was so excited she asked him to read it again. Maddie fell asleep quickly, while it took Olivia almost 2 hours because she kept saying she heard Santa on the roof! The next morning Liv forgot was Christmas morning, until we walked downstairs, (she is my daughter after all!) Steve and I had an idea that we were going to tear through all the presents in a matter of minutes...boy were we wrong! Olivia delicately opened each gift, it took HOURS to open her gifts~she of course wanted to play with Maddie's toys more than her own. Maddie kept trying to eat the wrapping paper! We headed over to our friend's house after for a nice Christmas meal :) Christmas really does has a new meaning once you have kids, we could care less about everything except our kids. We have two healthy beautiful girls who are getting older by the minute and couldn't be any happier!!
