This past week has been wicked hot, I'm taking 90's which may seem wonderful to those up north, however with humidity topping at 40% it is unhealthy to bring kids out in the heat for very long. So each day we tried to find fun ways to keep cool for short amounts of time outside. We met a few friends at the duck pond where we fed the ducks. Olivia had no fear of the ducks and the ducks were clearly not afraid of humans. The girls all gave bread to the ducks and we walked around the small pond afterwards. We were able to see baby turtles and a momma duck and her ducklings, which Olivia then asked me on the way home where the daddy duck was...too cute! We then had our friend Chloe and her mom Natalie over for a play-date. The girls played in the pool, watered the flowers ( weeds) in the yard, and had a few Popsicles!
