So this weekend we headed down to the Cape to celebrate my Mom's birthday. We headed out after Steve got out of work Friday afternoon. As we headed down to 495, we got stuck in traffic for a roll-over caused by a NY driver...grrrrrr. After the
first hour stuck in the traffic, Liv got a little restless so we listened to about a solid 45 min of Elmo songs, at this point I wanted to hook-up and IV of Pinot Grigio to my arm. Manny and Sadie were with us and Manny is not a good traveler. He started to pace in the car, however as soon as Liv started feeding him her crackers, he calmed down. At this point we are rounding out
hour number two, stuck in traffic....it's almost seven pm, no one has eaten except ritz crackers, we all start to get a little stir-crazy and I am getting hysterical (of course I am such a calm traveler haha). Just as I am about to throw Manny out the window and leave Steve on the side of the road....we start moving and............... (wait for it)................................... it torrential downpour's which slows down traffic yet again. We made it to the Cape at about 9 pm (finally!) We met my mother at the restaurant and ended up not leaving until about 10:30.

Saturday Morning Steve headed out fishing, and we headed to the beach. It was a perfect day and Liv loved collecting Seashells with her Mimi. Another little girl came over telling her that the shells were very pretty, which Olivia promptly grabbed the bucket and scowled at the poor little girl! Pretty sure the girl walked away crying and once she was gone Olivia took them back out to play with....we really need to work on sharing.... We had a great lunch of burgers and grilled cheese and Liv took about a 2 hour nap:) I have never read an entire people magazine in one sitting since Olivia was born so this was a great treat!
