Dance and Music

We had a pretty busy day yesterday, we headed off to Miss Stacy's music class with our friends Roman and Natalie.  It was a sad class because we had to tell her that we are moving so won't be signing up for the fall session. Olivia loves to make music, especially with the rhythm sticks and some African drum that i have no idea what the name of it is.  Our friend Natalie was in a cuddly mood yesterday so Liv got lot's of hugs and kisses from her:)  This week the songs were a little different because last week one of the kid's in the class lost it and had a breakdown during 3 little duck's song (we later found out because one of the verses in the song talks about the momma duck leaving and that made them sad lol)

After a nice afternoon nap, Liv got ready for her ballet class.  You may notice in the photos that she is wearing yet another new leotard because last week when Steve was changing her for her bath, the leotard magically disappeared like everything else does :))))) Our friend Riley was there and she had lot's of fun during class!

Olivia kept calling the Revolution coyote mascot a Kitty!

This morning we headed out for a very fun day.  Steve's work (EMC) hosted a children's day.  There was a fire truck, police officers, clowns and lot's of other great kid-stuff. We headed to visit the clown's and get a balloon animal.  Olivia was very curious in line for the clown's, however as soon as it was our turn, she could not get far enough away from the clown's haha. We also saw a kid-friendly skit about the IT world and all the different data storage options (yes it was as exciting as it sounds....)  We got a tour of the fire-truck and all the kids were very excited that they could climb in the truck, (of course Olivia started screaming when she had to get out, which was semi-embarrassing) The funniest part of the day was when we were walking by two little girls who were eating goldfish and Liv attempted to walk right up and take some for herself, she is ALWAYS hungry!!! All in all it was a very fun morning and Liv was very excited to see her Daddy at the end :)

Playground, Popsicle's, & the Pond!

A few nights ago we had a great dinner at our friends (and neighbor's) house.  Avery and Olivia had so much fun playing with Avery's toys and loved the fresh watermelon they had for desert :)
Yesterday the whole gang headed over to Slater Park.  The kids had a blast and it really gave Olivia a good chance to work on identify and saying the different animals that we have been reading about.  We found a nice shaded fenced in area where all the kids ate lunch and ran in the grass.  After the zoo area we stopped by and got Popsicle's which the kids wore more than actually ate due to the heat!  We played on the slide and  swings afterwards and headed home for nice long nap....happy baby = happy mom!!

This morning we headed out to our local pond near our friend Jill's house.  The kids all had a blast swimming, building castles (aka piles of sand) and running in an out of the water :)  Olivia ate a very good lunch, yet when her friend Lexi brought out her lunch, Liv just had have a few bites hahah....

Cape Cod and Birthday Cake!

So this weekend we headed down to the Cape to celebrate my Mom's birthday.  We headed out after Steve got out of work Friday afternoon.  As we headed down to 495, we got stuck in traffic for a roll-over caused by a NY driver...grrrrrr. After the first hour stuck in the traffic, Liv got a little restless so we listened to about a solid 45 min of Elmo songs, at this point I wanted to hook-up and IV of Pinot Grigio to my arm.  Manny and Sadie were with us and Manny is not a good traveler.  He started to pace in the car, however as soon as Liv started feeding him her crackers, he calmed down. At this point we are rounding out hour number two, stuck in traffic....it's almost seven pm, no one has eaten except ritz crackers, we all start to get a little stir-crazy and I am getting hysterical (of course I am such a calm traveler haha).  Just as I am about to throw Manny out the window and leave Steve on the side of the road....we  start moving and...............   (wait for it)................................... it torrential downpour's which slows down traffic yet again. We made it to the Cape at  about 9 pm (finally!) We met my mother at the restaurant and ended up not leaving until about 10:30.
Good Old Manny in the car :)

Saturday Morning Steve headed out fishing, and we headed to the beach.  It was a perfect day and Liv loved collecting Seashells with her Mimi.  Another little girl came over telling her that the shells were very pretty, which Olivia promptly grabbed the bucket and scowled at the poor little girl!   Pretty sure the girl walked away crying and once she was gone Olivia took them back out to play with....we really need to work on sharing.... We had a great lunch of burgers and grilled cheese and Liv took about a 2 hour nap:)  I have never read an entire people magazine in one sitting since Olivia was born so this was a great treat!

Saturday night we celebrated my Mom's birthday with Steak on the grill and chocolate cake!  Marston told us his war stories and Grammy loved sharing her jewelry with Liv!
Eating our cake...yum!

Pools, Friends and Music for Liv!

Over the last few days we have been pretty busy with play-dates :)  Tuesday  we headed over to swim in Annmarie and Declan's new pool.  Declan has special floaty's that he let Olivia use and by the end of the swimming session she was jumping off the edge of the pool and swimming on her own!! She really has no fear of the water and putting her head under; which of course makes her mom a nervous mess!! After swimming in the new pool we had a great lunch on the deck and played with some deck toys.

After nap,  Liv had a special treat when the ice-cream truck drove by and we were outside riding on the tricycle. She got to have her favorite cotton candy ice-cream, (totally my daughter, loves ice-cream!)

Wednesday we met our friends Lexi, Emma, baby Levi, and Riley at the Library for a special music performance. The girls loved singing Old Macdonald and dancing!  We also saw our friend Josie who we know from church and Olivia was so excited when she wanted to dance the hokie-pokie with us :)

After nap we headed over to the Pawtucket playground.  Only at this park would you see a man who has 3 pet parrots just hanging out at the park.   Of course Olivia had no fear and wanted to go pet/grab the birds so that was a little bit of a juggling act trying to keep her away from the bird man (totally sounds like a Sienfield episode).  Steve is in big trouble already because she was flirting Chase at the park, however when he went to grab a drink of her juice box she pushed him and he started crying,  so that was the end of that playground romance!

Fishing and Pool Time!

So this weekend Steve and a few buddies woke up very early Saturday morning and took a charter of Bourne.  They fished throughout Buzzards Bay and had a great time!  Shawn caught the biggest fish at 37 inches (of course the novice).  The boat was a 28 foot twin Yamaha 250 engines (like I have any idea what that even means haha).  All the boys had a blast:)

On Sunday I ran a few errands and Steve took Liv to his Uncle's pool.  Liv had a blast with all of her cousins and Yaya who gave her a freeze pop.  Uncle Larry has a chicken coupe that Steve brought her too and she totally loved, she is totally an animal lover!  Steve was trying to teach her how to do the doggy paddle and she even blew a few bubbles:)

Hip-Hop and play-date!

So Liv tried out the hip-hop class on Thursday night and her friend Miss Riley was there.  Both girls walked in on their own which was soo cute!  After seeing the other little girls in the class I really need to step-up her dance outfits, some girls had leg warmers which were adorable! The toughest part is trying to get Olivia's hair up!

Today we headed over to our friend Miss Caroline's house for a much needed play-date.  Jill came over with baby Levi, Sarah's baby Ben was there and the three girls; Caroline, Liv, and Emma.  They loved playing in the whale pool and eating lots of Teddy Grams.  After a very busy morning Liv was asleep before we even pulled out of the Dressel drive-way....
