Since Steve usually travels during the week for work, I am pretty strict in terms of dinner and bath time since Liv is now in school. I usually start cooking ( who am I kidding...I don't cook!!) around 4, and have dinner on the table by 4:45 at the latest. We have realized that our kids get extremely crabby if they haven't eaten by 5. They clearly get this from me, as I am miserable if I am hungry :) We usually have a dance party after dinner in the kitchen, its a way where both kids will stay in my eye sight while I clean up after dinner. We do baths and usually facetime (skype) with the grandparents. If it's not to hot we walk with a few of the neighborhood kids and by the time we get back to the house it s bedtime! Maddie is a great sleeper and in bed by 6:45-7 ish and Liv gets to watch a movie in her room at 7 until 8:30ish if she hasn't fallen asleep by then.
