After reading a particular sad yet touching story about a fallen soilder's dog who laid by his casket the entire funeral, got me to really thinking about the four legged friend's in the Beane family....
Here is the article and video as mentioned above

Since Madelyn was born the dogs have really been on the back burner. We try and take them on walks whenever possible, however our large fenced in back yard has been squirrel city for Sadie. She loves to chase them up trees and literally stalk and bark at them for hours. Of course her herding nature is not always appreciated by Olivia when she is trying to keep her close in the back yard. There is something very comforting about Olivia and Sadie in the back yard, Sadie always stays withing 2 feet of where Liv is and never takes her eyes of her. We know have to watch both dogs when people come to the house, they have become very protective of the girls and whenever someone new comes to the house they don't let them anywhere near the girls for at least a half hour. Both dogs have showed their teeth and growled at visitors they don;t know who have come in and tried to hold one of the kiddos. Of course there is always the usually sketchy people to bark at like the mailman and UPS delivery driver. And they have made their own"doggy doors" one being the front window screen, the other the back screen door. But as much as we complain about them, they were our first "babies," and as the Beane family has grown so has our love for all of our furry members:)
