So this is part 2 of the post, the first being KileyJo and Olivia dancing to the band at the festival:) We had a great time at our first Smyrna fireworks show. We headed over to the park with our neighbors and their parents, which was a huge help for us since we each have a baby and toddler! Parking was not bad and we brought lawn chairs and a baby tent. We got a great spot on the hill and after dropping our stuff, we headed over to the vendors. Our first stop was the bouncy house, which Liv loves to do and it wears her out which is great! Then we took the girls to get their faces painted, KJ and Liv both sat next to each other and wanted the same thing..big suprise there(smiley face/hearts). We passed a few bubble makers, and took a mini-tour of the black-hawk helicopter. Normally this sort of thing would not interest me, but we got to climb in, look at all the different buttons, and I must say it is HUGE up close. At the beginning of the fireworks show we saw the helicopter fly over us which again was amazing! After a quick stop at the playground we grabbed some hotdogs(how can you NOT have one on the 4th!) and headed to the live music. KileyJo is actually a really good dancer and as hard as Olivia tries, the poor kid clearly has no rhythm! (sadley she did not take after her mimi:) The live music was great, very kid friendly and they did a lot of cover songs, the heat was around 90 degrees so we had to make sure all the kid's stayed cooled and hydrated. We got to tour a firetruck which the girls were so tired at this point they really could have cared less.We headed back to the lawn for the fireworks show, which we weren't sure how the girls would do. Both loved the fireworks and were singing "take me out to the ball game" and entertaining everyone around us :) Overall a great night filled with family, friends, and some southern fun!!
