Arland Drive Reunion!

Last week we headed up to our old neighborhood to see our good friends:)  We had loads of fun playing with some fun toys Diane had gotten the girls, and Kk brought out some of her old barbies which were a huge hit!! We ordered my favorite pizza and went swimming in the pool afterwards, and both girls pretended to look for mermaids in the pool. It was great to catch up wth everyone and Liv remembered and picked up like we had never left:) Nights like that are reasons I miss New England but we are fortunate enough to be able to come up and visit!

Avery and Olivia plus 2!!

During our Cape vacation we visited with our good friends Nicole and Avery. Avery was a neighbor when we lived in Rhode Island and since we moved also became a big sister to her baby brother Carter whos is a week older than Madelyn:)  We met at the buttonwood zoo and the girls immediatly remembered each other.  It was like no time had passed and were hugging, holding hands, and talking non-stop! Avery told Olivia all about the different animals at the zoo, and Liv attempted to show us the way using the map:) We then headed over to a New England favorite, good old friendly's and had some grilled cheese and ice-cream for dessert!

Pool and Beach Days!

Our last few days on vacation have been spent by the pool and beach. Olivia went from being a pretty good swimmer last summer to now doing laps in the ocean and jumping off the edge of the pool going under.  We have worked really hard to make her comfortable in the water and clearly it shows since she swimming with her floatie alone, blowing bubbles, and doing the doggie paddle! We headed to Steve'sUncle Larry's pool where Liv got to play with her second cousins, who were between the ages of 5-9 so of course Liv loved hanging out with the big kids! We stopped at the plymouth waterfront on the way home to take a few pictures and show Liv the boats :)We brought maddie in the pool for the first time and she loved it! Olivia was swimming around her and she kept smiling. She also looked adorable in her swimsuit and hat. Here are some pictures :)

Birthday Parties!

Our first weekend we were able to go to Lyla's first birthday which doesn't seem like a big deal but when you live so far away and never get to see your family it really is the little things that matter:) It was great to be able to visit with our family and for all the cousins to hang and play together:) We also celebrated Papa Moe's birthday, which was relaxing and cool on a nice summer night.  Liv had been practicing her birthday song for a week so she was very excited to sing them as loud as possible at the parties! Here are a few pictures, Enjoy!

Happy 4th of July!!(part2)

So this is part 2 of the post, the first being KileyJo and Olivia dancing to the band at the festival:) We had a great time at our first Smyrna fireworks show. We headed over to the park with our neighbors and their parents, which was a huge help for us since we each have a baby and toddler! Parking was not bad and we brought lawn chairs and a baby tent. We got a great spot on the hill and after dropping our stuff, we headed over to the vendors. Our first stop was the bouncy house, which Liv loves to do and it wears her out which is great! Then we took the girls to get their faces painted, KJ and Liv both sat next to each other and wanted the same thing..big suprise there(smiley face/hearts). We passed a few bubble makers, and took a mini-tour of the black-hawk helicopter. Normally this sort of thing would not interest me, but we got to climb in, look at all the different buttons, and I must say it is HUGE up close. At the beginning of the fireworks show we saw the helicopter fly over us which again was amazing! After a quick stop at the playground we grabbed some hotdogs(how can you NOT have one on the 4th!) and headed to the live music. KileyJo is actually a really good dancer and as hard as Olivia tries, the poor kid clearly has no rhythm! (sadley she did not take after her mimi:) The live music was great, very kid friendly and they did a lot of cover songs, the heat was around 90 degrees so we had to make sure all the kid's stayed cooled and hydrated. We got to tour a firetruck which the girls were so tired at this point they really could have cared less.We headed back to the lawn for the fireworks show, which we weren't sure how the girls would do. Both loved the fireworks and were singing "take me out to the ball game" and entertaining everyone around us :) Overall a great night filled with family, friends, and some southern fun!!
