Trick or Treating at the Library!

This morning we headed to the library for story-time that was inspired by Halloween. We read books about the holiday, and made goodies bags that we then used to trick or treat around the library. Since this will be Liv's first time, it was a preview about what we were in store for. First Liv did not understand that you take one piece of candy out of the bowel.  I thought if I gave her a lollipop she would be content...but I was wrong! Each time she got a new piece of candy she wanted to eat it immediately. Needless to say this weekend is going to be very interesting!!!

Visit with Mimi and Auntie!

My mom and sister came to Tn for a long weekend and it was so nice to have family here!I realized I was pretty homesick so it was such a good feeling to have family here! We talked about them coming so Liv was ready when she saw them, off course she was spoiled rotten the entire time they were here! Mimi still thinks Liv is God and cannot stand to think of Liv unhappy for any reason :) Whatever Liv wants she get's according to Mimi, which is NOT the way we were raised but I guess all bet's are off when it comes to grand-kids. It was so nice to have a break, since they both helped with meals, bath and bedtime.  We did LOTS of shopping (maternity for me and Liv's winter wardrobe.) We visited the Sam Davis museum (for Mag's of course) which itself proved a challenge since it was a history museum and you just had to look at everything which Liv tried to run into each exhibit.  We all saw our first real cotton field, went down to Nashville, and Steve and I even got a movie date in :)

Pregger Post

So here is a quick post that will be devoted to the newest baby Beane:)  So far this week I have really made a change in terms of feeling better. I have only been sick a few times and am starting to eat everything in sight! I have started working out again, I didn't feel comfortable running so I am now just lifting weights and walking a few miles.  Liv is now obsessed with trying to lift up my shirt and kiss the "baby,"even in public!  I am getting less tired which is great especially keeping up with a toddler! I am showing a lot sooner than I did with Liv and I am guessing that this baby is going to be bigger than she was also (aaaahhhh!) Steve is constantly amazed at the weird food I am eating which includes but not limited too:

lemons (yes whole lemons except skin)
cartons of Orange Juice
bacon dipped in peanut butter
cream cheese (again just cream cheese)
and of course....donuts!

Wilderness class!

So, as many of you know I am not the biggest nature lover....so you can guess that I was a bit skeptical when a "wilderness" class was suggested for Olivia to take.  I had no information so I was not sure what it was going to be all about. Trying to dress Liv in a "wilderness type" outfit also proved to be challenging and I need to remind Mimi that Liv needs more than dresses:)  Of course from the picture's you can tell Liv is ready to go on a hike in her dress and tights...just kidding! After driving into the backwoods of Tn (ok a local park but there was a lot of trees,) we unloaded into the center.  There were lot's of dead stuffed animals from squirrels to snakes...I was horrified yet Olivia loved it! The class itself wasn't bad, we sang songs about animals and of course Liv felt the need to start dancing! We learned about bat's and made a paper bat's. We then took a nature hike to look for bat's. Olivia took her walk very seriously as I was chatting away, and I had to scold her for pushing a little girl who tried to hold her hand :(

Other than taking Liv to her activities we have been laying pretty low in Tn.  Steve was away on business last week so we are glad to have him back :) Pregnancy is going well, starting to show already which is crazy!  I am only really sick in the morning so at night's I have been eating like crazy! My ice-cream obsession has kicked back in, however nothing compares to the friendly's back home:( Liv now points to my belly and says baby, which is super cute. Another lovely thing Liv has learned to do it take off her clothes and diaper. One minute she is fully dressed the other she walks around the corned in the dining room screaming bum bum and pointing to her tush.....we are in big trouble!!!

Toddler time with Mr. Thomas and the pool!

Olivia refused to smile
her favorite at the park, the swings!
So we were referred to a toddler tumble class that sounded perfect for Liv.  It started out by me getting sick (morning sickness my favorite!) and Liv screaming in the bathroom that she was reading to go! After we got through that little fiasco we were ready to head into class.  There were about 20 other toddlers and an extremely enthusiastic and flamboyant Mr. Thomas.  He clearly missed his true calling for being on Broadway because he was acting out these games like it was no one's business!  Liv found another little boy who instead of playing red light green light, they just started running laps, and at this point I was not feeling good again so I was ok with it. I am hoping next week I can upload video of this class because it is hilarious!
A few other days last week we went to the playground and local pool. The pool had a little kid water slide and I didn't think Liv would do it, (and I was scarred for her I'll admit it!) Well after her first go down the slide she kept screaming more, and after about 20 times (no exaggeration here I swear) I had to drag her out of the pool.

Mr Thomas is on the left in orange...

she has no fear...the water slide!
swimming on her own :)

I will have to start posting belly picture's as I feel
huge already! Hopefully this is nearing the end of being sick and I can go about gaining my large amount of baby weight I gain by eating donut's:)

Story-time in Smyrna!

Liv and the fishtank!

parachute time!

This morning we headed out for our first adventure, we headed over to the town library for toddler story-time. The library is about two seconds away from our house so it was easy to find.  When we first went into the children's section, they had a large fish tank, and Olivia screamed , "Bobbo!"  I then had to explain that all fish were not named her fish's name and then she stood there for a solid ten minutes starring at the fish.  We looked at them swimming around she really does love all animals, just like her mom:)
Liv did not want to share the puppets...

Story-time was really packed with over 20 kids there.  Two older women ran it, with songs, a parachute, and crafts. Liv loved dancing and clapping her hands and we will definitely be going back next week! I was chucklng to my-self during the kid's sing-along songs because every song had at least one "yee-haw" in it.....welcome to the south!!
this was right after I caught her trying to eat the glue stick..
working on her camera smile!

Pumpkin Picking!

This morning we headed out to Walden Farm for some fall activities.  We took a great hayride that was fun, except for the fact it was about 30 minutes long, and trying to keep a toddler sitting for that amount of time is a small miracle...Liv loved all the farm animals, and had no fear even sticking her fingers in the cages.  We went to a little pumpkin patch to get pumpkins, and Olivia could not decide on one pumpkin, she kept picking up a pumpkin, exclaiming "Mine," then walk 2 ft. drop and and pick up another one.  We saw scarecrows and took a picture with one, I thought she would be scared but she just took a side glance at it and then smiled for the camera...not much fazes Miss O! Liv got her face painted and sat on Daddy' lap, she was a pro and couldn't stop looking at her self in the mirror once it was done (sounds just like Steve!) It was a great fall day, although it was very warm, about 85 and as usual we were overdressed in jeans and sweatshirts.  Liv was asleep before we even pulled out of the farm and Steve was able to get some homework done while we both took naps!
