Girls Bday Pool Party!

This year I decided to have a joint party for the girls since there birthdays are 3 weeks apart and they have all the same friends!  I decided on a pool party at the local Y and choose a preppy whale theme for the girls. After last year's major pinterest disaster I decided to hire someone to do the dessert table, and to everyone's relief too! She did a wonderful job as you can see in the picture above and she made wonderful cupcakes, cookies, pretzels dipped in chocolates, Oreo truffles and more. We had around 15 children show up and after we sang happy birthday we headed to the pool.  The girls had a great time, especially since Daddy was throwing them under in the pool. Olivia has done a great job improving swimming since she has taken lessons and we realized Maddie clearly has NO FEAR at all of the water and was jumping off the side dunking under, going down the slide, and trying to keep up with all the big kids:)

Soccer!

We started Liv in her second year of soccer, and already she is showing soccer skills! All of her friends play in this league so she has lots of friends which helped her feel comfortable right away. She actually paid attention to the coaches, was running drills, and kicking the ball. She looked so cute running around and so tiny!  I think soccer is going to be sport that she will play in the years to come!

Livs Bday Pictures

For Olivia's actual birthday we went to Diva's and Dudes which is a local kid's salon. Olivia and her friend Lena each got pedicures and then Liv and Maddie got their hair cut. The girls had a blast being pampered! When they do the girls hair they put glitter in it and a glitter tattoo on their cheek. Maddie wanted nothing to do with any part in getting her hair cut and screamed the whole time...

Easter Day

This year for Easter we headed over to our friends and neighbor's.  The night before Olivia wanted to write the Easter bunny a letter and leave out carrots and lettuce for the bunny. We forgot to buy carrots so we convinced Liv that the Easter bunny also loves Brussels sprouts so we left some out for the Big Man :) The next morning we woke up ( very early as usual) and the girls had a scavenger hunt of notes to find their Easter baskets. Olivia loved doing it and the girls loved finding their baskets! Every year I tell myself that I am not going to get candy and get little gifts instead, but of course I caved and bought them candy again.
We headed over The Dentino's for an easter egg hunt and great meal. The kid's had a blast finding the eggs, and Maddie was a pro. It was her first time and she cleaned up very well with jelly beans! As usual we ended up playing corn-hole, which always gets tough when the little kids want to play and climb on the boards, eventually one of the kids is gonna to get knocked out by the bean bags!
