Grocery cart hell!

Note to self: next time the girls politely ask if they can have their own mini carts at the grocery store, scream "NO," and have flashbacks of this day shopping. It started out calmly enough, heading to the store around 8 am along with ever other elderly shopper, but due to the nap schedule and ballet later this was the only time free today. The girls were so excited there were two mini carts (which never happens) so I (stupidly) said sure, picture a calm shopping experience- not the usual run through isle and get everything as soon as possible before a child breaks/throws tantrum/climbs shelves etc..... Olivia has had her own cart before and does wonderful, she loves to help, pick out items and feel like a big girl. Maddie, I assumed would copy Liv...boy was I WRONG. We started out in the fruit isle with Maddie immediately ramming into orangesdislay that of course all came down. I with the help of a lovely worker we cleaned them up, while Maddie belted out the "clean up song".  After a quick lesson on how to push I assumed Maddie would get the hang of it...again WRONG.  Maddie threw every candy/toy/cookie/random item she could while I quickly put them back...did I mention we were still in the FIRST isle. The rest of the trip went something like this, Maddie looking down ramming into Olivia, shelves, and a construction worker. When I told her to look up, she looked at the ceiling, she'd get caught on a corner and immediately it was the end of the world. I'm not big on bribing my kids, but for the sake of the store's and myself's sanity, Oreo's were opened and eaten at 8:15 in the morning.

Innocent.......don't be fooled!!

Beane girls meet Pooh and Dora!

We headed to the local indoor bouncy house when they had Pooh Bear and Dora as special guests. Maddie and Liv both LOVE Dora still, and Maddie still loves Pooh. It was a great way to beat the heat ( 100+) and burn some energy before school starts!

County Fair~!

So we headed to the Williamson County fair again this year. As a kid I used to LOVE these rides...now as a parent they give me panic attacks. Clearly the girls have their father's side of the amusement park bug, both girls went on every ride they possibly could, roller coasters, scary boat ride, spinning tea cups etc. I had to bribe them to go on the "kid" rides they wanted all the super scary rides. All I could think about was the people that put these together, a screw not fully in, a dis-functioning circuit....Needless to say we all lived, Hubby spent a small fortune winning Maddie a life size Dora! Until next year fair....

Ballet Camp for Liv!

So Liv wanted to take camp this summer since some of her friends did it,so when her dance studio offered a Angelina the Ballerina camp for a week we decide to enroll! It was 1/2 day with program with the last day being a mini show for the family. Each day Liv had great stories about different moves they were taught, crafts, and making new friends! I am so glad she loved camp and cannot wait till she is old enough to go to camp on Cape Cod, since I have such great memories as a kid :)
