Daley Family Christmas Party!

Well I finally found the camera disk that had all the Christmas party family pictures at my Mom's house this past holiday. It was a great tradition having lots of family there that the girls were able to visit and even open a few gifts! The pictures are not great as I was using my Mother's camera from around 1990 but we did the best we could and all had a great time! I look forward to continuing the tradition many years in the future~

Bowling with the Beane's!

After a bowling party Liv went to we got the bowling bug and wanted to bring both girls bowling. We went on a Sunday so it was pretty quiet which was great because Maddie was walking all over the place! They have a little kid ramp that the girls used for bowling and Steve and I competed against each other (who us competitive?!!)  It was also game day so we had a great time in all our Pat's gear :)

Mad picked up the bowling ball on her own, shes the strongest kid ever!!

Adventures with the Eye Doctor!

The girls ready for the eye doctor!

With Both Steve and my family's eye history the girls have both had to get regular exams each year. Olivia LOVES going and always asks the optometrist a thousand questions!  When they first bring us the the medical assistant does a basic eye exam on both girls. Olivia went first to help demonstrate to Maddie how to be a good girl.  While waiting for the actual doctor to come in Olivia decided to play doctor to Maddie, which was pretty hysterical. At one point Liv had Maddie in a choke hold around her neck trying to look at her eyes...needless to say Liv got punched from her younger (tougher) sister. It actually worked because once it was Mad's turn she was pretty good! I love our eye doctor, he reminds me of a grandfather, and loves interacting with the girls! Olivia's eyes are in great shape, however it is inevitable that Maddie will need....  glasses :( Apparently eye genetics are pretty strongly related to the mother's side of the family, and everyone in my immediate family wears glasses except me.  We head back in a few months to see if any improvement and then he will decide from there.

Maddie not sure about this whole thing...

Maddie was miserable at this point after being tortured by her sister

Dress-up playdate

Last week we had one of one of our friends that we first met when we moved to Tennessee :) Byrnn is a year older than Olivia and the girls had lots of fun dressing up! They put on princess dresses, high-heeled shoes and even some make-up! The girls put on some music and had a little dance party :) Maddie also wanted to dress up and look at herself in the mirror!

Ice Skating!

This winter we decided to try out ice skating again. We enlisted the help of her friend Lena, who has taken lessons already so we thought it would help Liv learning to skate. This time she did much better! Since Steve and I both can skate we took turns with the girls on the ice, and Maddie hung out in the stroller watching the girls from the side.  We started off practicing learning how to fall and get up, and then taking steps and learning how to balance. About half way through we were able to use an "helper" that lets Olivia push it while learning to keep her balance.  It was a successful day skating and we will be putting Liv in lessons this year!
