Turkey Day!

As a child I always remember my mother telling me that no one should ever be alone on a holiday, I have great memories of our family friends spending holidays with us, so I continued the tradition. This year we had 12 of our friends come for thanksgiving and it was wonderful! Each person brough a side, and we had lots of laughs and full bellys:)Steve cooked 2 turkeys, one brined and one fried, both were very good!

National Lampoon Beane Family Lights!

After an exausting weekend that included both girls with fevers, ear infections, and Maddie on her nebulizer, it was a welcome distraction for our friends Keith and Ali to come over to help put up the outside christmas lights! Keith and Steve were pros, and by pros, I mean as I drove home from the doctors office, I see Keith from blocks away on a 20 ft. ladder, hanging christmas lights in our front yard with a fishing pole! The guys did a great job as Ali helped me give Maddie med's and a breathing treatment, after that we had a glass of wine and watched National Lampoon's christmas vacation. After the movie we even did a drumroll for the lighting of the trees in the front yard!

Florida part 2

Since I grew up on the beach, there is nothing I love more than going to the beach with my kids. Its so much easier than the pool, the sand keeps them occupied for hours! The girls loved the beach, and it is personally one of my favorite beaches, the water is warm, clear, and there are no crabs! Here is a collection of our numerous days at the beach :)

Florida part 1

This past week we flew down to florida to visit our Papa and Yaya. Steves grandparents were also there the same time, so we were able to have an early thanksgiving dinner with everyone:) The girls were pretty good on the flights down, Olivia is such a good flyer, however Maddie is at the age were she wants to run around and not sit in the seats on the plane. As soon as we got to Naples we put on some shorts and it was time to have fun! The girls blew bubbles in the backyard while we relaxed. Olivia and Maddie loved to try and catch the little lizards around the yard!

Bubbles!( mind you these are the faces I get when I ask them to look at camera!)

Maddie was mesmerized by Papa's bubble skills!

Liv loved blowing bubbles

Olivia was not the best at sharing the bubbles with her sister

The next day Yaya cooked us a wonderful thanksgiving meal, with Daddy making his famous bourbon cranberry sauce! Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Tyler, and a few others were able to join us which we really enjoyed since we dont get to see family alot! Of course the Beane men all went to check out each other's latest electronic gadgets, while Liv and Maddie tore the house apart. It was great to take pictures of everyone enjoying themselves.

Pumpkins and Preschool party!

Last week we carved our pumpkins for Halloween:) Steve decided to not do a sports theme pupkin this year ( shocker!) and instead did a witch per Liv's request. Maddie wasn't sure what to do with the pumpkin, and at one point tried to take a bite of it...again shocker :) Liv had a preschool party which parents were invited too, and we had a blast! Maddie thought she was a big kid, and when she sat at the table to eat she tried to steal other kids lunch's! They had a blast playing different halloween themed games and it was so cute to go to the class and help out at the party!
