Maddie Birthday Party

I don't know why I keep doing it to myself, but I had another one of my children's first birthday at our house.  You would think that I would have learned my lesson when we had Olivia's first birthday at our house in RI, the only thing missing was the keg! Anyways we had a small group of close friends and ....ELMO! My baking skills have improved slightly, the cupcakes were edible ( and contrary to rumor I did not make Liv's preschool class sick with her birthday cupcakes I made for the class!!!) The color theme for the cupcakes was rainbow, however my red cupcakes were closer to pink so I had to switch over pastel colors. The favors were red bags that Liv decorated with Elmo stickers.  Olivia did really well letting Madelyn have some recognition until it was time to open presents..let's just say Maddie did not open one present! The kiddos enjoyed decorating little bags as the craft for the party and scooping up candy from the pinata.  Olivia was finally able to use the metal bat that Steve got her as a present (dont ask) for the pinata. Which the kids couldn't open so Steve broke

Jumpers!

A few days ago we headed over to the inside bouncy gym since it was pouring outside.  I debated about going, since this is place gets super crowded when it is rainy outside, but after being stuck in the house we decided to chance it. Olivia loves to jump and go in and out of all the different bouncy's, however she is still not brave enough to do down the tall bouncy slides. Maddie loves to crawl around, which is great becuase they have a large open area and if it's not too crowded she can crawl away!

Easter!

This year we hosted Easter at our house while Steve's parents were up visiting from Florida. Of course Olivia was so kind to pass the flu that she had to me, so I was a but out of it during the holiday. It was a warm sunny day so we ate a wonderful meal that Steve's mom made. We had about 15 people, half being kids so we had an Easter egg hunt that was adorable!
